Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy — Dazzling Lash Beauty Bar

Effective date: January 1, 2025

Dazzling Beauty LLC, doing business as Dazzling Lash Beauty Bar and Dazzling Beauty Academy ("we," "us," "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies when you visit our website, book an appointment, buy from our online shop, register for an Academy training class, contact us, or visit our salon. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and booking details: name, phone number, email address, appointment history, service preferences, and notes about your lash or brow style.

• Client intake and consent forms: information you choose to share so we can perform services safely, such as allergies, sensitivities, recent eye or skin procedures, medications that affect healing, and pregnancy status (see Section 3).

• Purchase and payment details: shipping and billing address and order history. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.

• Academy registration: name, contact details, licensing or experience information, class selections, signed invoices and agreements, and payment status.

• Messages: anything you send us by phone, text, email, Instagram, TikTok, Google, or our website forms.

• Photos: before-and-after photos of your services (see Section 3).

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location (city level). See Section 5 for cookies.

Information from others

We may receive information from booking, review, and social platforms (for example, a Google review or an Instagram message), or from a friend who refers you.

2. How we use your information

• Book, confirm, remind you of, and manage appointments and classes, including deposits and cancellation policies.

• Perform services safely and keep records of your treatments and preferences.

• Process payments, ship orders, and handle returns.

• Respond to questions, requests, and complaints.

• Send marketing emails or texts about offers, new services, and classes, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

• Improve our website, services, and products.

• Prevent fraud, enforce our policies, and comply with legal, tax, and licensing obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Photos, health information, and text messages

Before-and-after photos. We take before-and-after photos of your service for our records, and we may share them on our website and social media to showcase our work. If you prefer that your photos not be posted, let us know in writing (by email/text) or tell your artist at the time of your service. You can change your mind later; we will remove photos from our own accounts, though we can't recall copies others have already shared.

Health and intake information. Information about allergies, sensitivities, medications, or medical conditions is used only to decide whether a service is safe for you and how to perform it. Access is limited to the artist performing your service and the owner. We never use it for marketing, never sell it, and never share it except as required by law or to get you emergency help. We are a beauty salon, not a healthcare provider, so HIPAA does not apply to us, but we treat this information with extra care.

Text messages. If you provide your mobile number, we may text you about your appointments (confirmations, reminders, deposit and policy notices). We will send marketing texts only if you separately opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-message opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing in this policy, except with the service providers that send our messages for us.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do that work. These include:

• Booking, scheduling, and client-management providers

• Website hosting, online shop, and email providers

• Payment processors and shipping carriers

• Analytics, advertising, and social media platforms (see Section 5)

Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy. We may also share information with independent artists or renters who work in our salon, only for the services you book with them; to comply with law, a subpoena, or court order; to protect the safety or rights of our clients, staff, or business; or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website and online shop use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to keep the site working (for example, your shopping cart), remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure and improve our ads.

Advertising. We advertise on social media and search platforms. These platforms may use cookies and pixels on our site to collect information about your visit, and use it to measure our ads and show you our ads on other sites and apps. We may also share a scrambled (hashed) email address or phone number with them so they can show our ads to existing clients or people with similar interests. We never use health or intake information for advertising. You can opt out of interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info and in the ad settings of each platform.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

6. How long we keep it, how we protect it, and children

Retention. We keep client records for as long as you are an active client and for up to [3] years after your last visit, so we have your service history and safety notes if you return. We keep payment, tax, and Academy records as long as the law requires. After that, we delete or anonymize them.

Security. We use reputable providers with encrypted payment processing, limit access to staff who need it, and keep paper forms secured. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by New York law and other applicable law.

Children. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent for services, and the parent or guardian provides the intake information. If you believe a child has given us information online, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• See the personal information we hold about you.

• Correct anything that is inaccurate.

• Delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal, tax, or safety reasons.

• Stop marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP).

• Remove a photo of you from our website or social media.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. We will honor them where they apply. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we make a significant change, we will notify you by email or a notice on our website.
